WASHINGTON, May 06, 2025 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued a complaint against Ganaderos Unidos Mexicanos LLC of El Paso, Texas., on June 28, 2024, for violations of the Packers and Stockyards Act.

An investigation by USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service revealed that between Nov. 3, 2021, and April 6, 2022, Ganaderos engaged in the business of a dealer buying and selling livestock in 25 separate transactions, in the total amount of $1,348,223.75, without maintaining an adequate bond or bond equivalent.

Under the Default Decision and Order, Ganaderos was ordered to cease and desist from engaging in operations subject to the Act without being adequately bonded, suspending Ganaderos as registrants for 180 calendar days, and requiring them to obtain a bond.

The P&S Act is a fair-trade practice and payment protection law that promotes fair and competitive marketing environments for the livestock, meat and poultry industries.
